SF-Excelsior Native. Christian. Tough-on-Crime.

Meet Oscar

I am a San Francisco native, born and raised in District 11 (Excelsior District), where I am now running for office. I am the son of immigrant parents from El Salvador who escaped a bloody civil war. I am a product of the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) K-12 (Monroe, James Denman, Abraham Lincoln), where I first became politically engaged at an early age. I received my higher education in England, UK, in Mechanical/Space Engineering and also worked in the fashion-art world (bespoke tailoring) and serve as a board member in my church.

Why Oscar is running

I am motivated by my faith and love for my city and country to serve and sacrifice myself for its success. Fully cognizant of the values I hold as a Christian, I understand the gravity of this path of opposition. Witnessing the decline of our city under the current leadership, I cannot sit idly by despite the challenges ahead. Our city is beset by darkness: homelessness, crime, drugs, and corruption have taken root, threatening the very fabric of our communities. In this battle for the soul of our city and to rectify the pressing challenges we face, we must first seek God’s wisdom and trust that hope remains. We can breathe new life into San Francisco and make it a city where everyone wishes to live and do business.

It begins here in District 11, a district often overlooked but filled with many who have witnessed the city's ups and downs over the decades. Our district is not set up to be the next downtown, nor will I sell you a grandiose vision. Instead, I propose a practical vision for District 11: a place with the best neighborhoods for those who wish to live in our great city. It will be known as the safest, cleanest, and most family- and business-friendly district, where one can roam and live worry-free.

If you’re disillusioned by the same candidates who are part of the leadership that has contributed to our city’s decay while offering you solutions to the problems they created, I invite you to join me in this fight. Volunteer your time, donate if you can, and be part of this movement against the downfall of our great cities across the country. Let us serve as a beacon for the nation!

In Christ,

Oscar Flores
